Rituals and Degrees Update …

May 7, 2019 By National Board

From National Rituals and Degrees Chairman Jack Schneider

Major Degrees Teams returned to action after the month of March celebrations to honor our Patron Saint with Major Degree events in Philadelphia, PA and River Edge, NJ in April. Forty-Seven Brothers received their Major Degrees of the Order at the Philadelphia event while another seventeen Brothers accomplished same in the River Edge event and we welcome them into full Brotherhood within our Order. It was a pleasure to be in attendance at both Major Degree ceremonies along with National Director Ed Halligan.

Brothers from the Pittsburgh area are working diligently towards establishing a new Major Degree Team in western Pennsylvania. Their Certification Review is scheduled for Saturday, June 1 and we wish them the very best of luck in this endeavor. If successful, the Pittsburgh Team would become the ninth active Major Degree Team in the country.

The next Major Degree Event is scheduled for Sat. May 18 at Tara Hall at 274 Innis Avenue in Columbus, Ohio with the Sons of Milesius Major Degree Team exemplifying.

The summer months will afford several opportunities for prospective candidates to take their Major Degrees at various state conventions throughout the land. Major Degree Ceremonies are currently planned at the following State Conventions that I have been notified of to date:

Sat. June 22 – Michigan State Convention, Detroit Marriott Livonia, Livonia, MI

Sat. July 13 – New York State Convention, Hilton Albany Hotel, Albany, NY

Sat. July 20 – Pennsylvania State Convention, Greentree Doubletree Hotel, Pittsburgh PA

Sat. August 17 – Ohio State Convention, Radisson Hotel at Univ. of Toledo, Toledo, OH

For additional details on exact venue addresses, please see the Rituals and Degrees subpage on the National Website at www.aoh.com.

Also, we invite all our Major Degree Teams to avail themselves to this space going forward and feel free to share information on your teams, milestone Team events, interesting Degree venues, etc. for publication. You may email me your info to jack1515@aol.com

Seventeen Brothers are welcomed into full Brotherhood within the Order as they received their Major Degrees at a ceremony in River Edge, NJ on April 7, 2019.
