The Bronx County Ancient Order of Hibernians invites Hibernians, members of the Irish-American community, and friends of Irish heritage to join us for the Annual Irish Language Mass on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Barnabas Church in the Bronx, New York.
The annual Mass honors those who continue the important work of keeping the Irish language and culture alive, carrying forward a vital part of Ireland’s heritage for future generations.
The Reverend Brendan A. Fitzgerald will serve as celebrant and homilist. The Mass will include participation from members of the AOH and the wider Irish community, with music provided by the Dawn Doherty Academy of Irish Music and piping by the Kerry Pipers, led by Dermot Moore.
The specially prepared Irish-English Mass booklet allows everyone to follow and participate in the liturgy, with the prayers, readings and responses presented in both Irish and English. The booklet includes everything from Céad Míle Fáilte at the entrance through the prayers and readings of the Mass.
