Peadar Thompson’s groundbreaking new book, Lost Gaels: Remembering the Members of the GAA Killed During the Conflict in Ireland, is the first comprehensive account of how the Troubles impacted the GAA community. Releasing in the U.S. on February 27, 2025, this poignant tribute honors the lives of lost Gaels and highlights the power of sport to foster unity, resilience, and healing in the face of conflict.
Join us for this special series of events celebrating Irish heritage, history, and culture. Peadar Thompson will lead an engaging talk about the impact of The Troubles on the GAA community. Following the talk, there will be a Q&A session where you can dive deeper into this compelling history.
These events provide a meaningful chance for the Irish community to unite, celebrate our heritage, and honor the resilience of Irish history and culture and the unifying power of sport. All events are free to attend.
The Ancient Order of Hibernians is proud to support these events. Your generous donations help fund important initiatives, including Hibernian Disaster Relief, Hibernian Hunger Projects, National History Day, Seminarian and Religious Vocation Grants through Project St. Patrick, and scholarships like Irish Way and Study Abroad.
