Brendan Moore joined the Ancient Order of Hibernians in 1976. He served as division, county, and state Freedom For All Ireland Chairman before being appointed as National FFAI Chair, serving in that capacity for fourteen years. He was elected National Director (2002-2004, 2004-2006), National Treasurer (2006-2008), National Vice President (2008-2010, 2010-2012), and National President (2012-2014, 2014-2016). In his current capacity as Past National President, he was initially appointed to serve the Order as Chairman of the Finance Oversight Committee, and currently is a member of the National Freedom For All Ireland Committee.
Moore earned BA, MA, and MPA degrees and taught for thirty-eight years at both the high school and college levels.
A first-generation Irish American, Moore’s father immigrated from County Offaly and his mother from County Down. Brendan and his wife, Eileen, are the proud parents of two sons, as well as the grandparents of five delightful grandchildren.
