Deputy National Organizer Update May 2025
Reverend Fathers and Brother Hibernians,
In the first three months of 2025, we welcomed 62 new At-Large members from 24 states, ranging in age from 18 to 89. Arizona is in the lead with nine new Brothers. Approximately one third are military veterans. At Large members are becoming more involved, participating in some of the online National Committee meetings.
New members are inquiring about the possibility of starting new divisions in Plattsburgh, NY; Phoenix, AZ; Houston, TX; and Las Vegas, NV; just to name a few. What does that mean?
Forming a new division is a commitment not to be taken lightly. It is far more than finding a few other Irish Catholic men to get together, share a few pints, and tell lies about how great it is to be us. It takes dedication, commitment and drive.
Having said that, building a division is one of the more gratifying things you can do. This is how we pass on our heritage and history to the new generations, as well as caring for the current generations through our charitable work.
Like any organization, it requires some local leaders willing to take charge. The national board and state leaders can provide training, guidance, and assist with targeted ad campaigns. If you are interested in the possibility of starting a new division in your area, email me at donald.r.connolly@gmail.com
