Sean O’Dowd

National Director

Email: seanodowd@aooh.org

As a 20-year member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Sean served in all state board positions, as well as county and division president. He served on the National Freedom for All Ireland Committee and was awarded Division 32’s Man of the Year award.

Sean’s father who was raised on a farm in county Cavan instilled the values of Family, Faith and Heritage which Sean exhibits today, both personally and professionally. He has a passion for his Irish ancestry and the struggles that the Irish people have endured. As your newly elected National Director Sean O’Dowd fights shoulder to shoulder with the honorable men who make up the leadership of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

As a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Chicago Regional Council, Sean has specialized for the last 25 years in outfitting hospitals with sorely needed infectious controls to prevent outbreaks such as COVID-19.

Sean enjoys spending time at home with his wife and daughter with their 2 rescue dogs at their feet. Unless of course you see him riding his 1969 Harley Davidson on the open road.
