The Ancient Order of Hibernians commends the BBC current affairs program Panorama for shining a long overdue public spotlight on the British Government’s collusion through its organs of MI5, the British Army and the Royal Ulster Constabulary in dozens of murders during the Troubles in Northern Ireland; murders which through incessant bureaucratic stonewalling and cover-ups remain officially unsolved denying the victims’ families closure and justice for decades.
Per AOH National President Brendan Moore:
“BBC’s Panorama documentary, “Britain’s Secret Terror Deals,” will be perceived by many as utterly shocking, and, perhaps, simply unbelievable.
However, for those who have long sought accountability for British misdeeds, misrule, and actual criminality in Ireland, there is not a shred of surprise or disbelief. Committed individuals and organizations in Ireland, England, the United States, and beyond, enthusiastically welcome Panorama’s presentation.
The British government’s decades-long posturing and subterfuge must be brought to an immediate end. Documents and other evidence curiously lost or destroyed by repeated fires, floods, and other unlikely catastrophes, must now be made available. It is now time for the truth regarding the Attorney Pat Finucane Murder, the Ballymurphy Massacre, the Dublin-Monaghan Bombings, and so many other atrocities engineered and abetted by those serving Britain at every level.”
